The Tiedemann Classics Regatta brings together some of the most beautiful yachts you will see on the water. This biennial event is open to all boats with a current CRF 2025 certificate that also conforms to any modifications set forth by the NYYC Classics Rules. This event is one of the three regattas that is included in the NYYC Classics Series and is the ideal start to another specatular season of classic yacht racing. 

New in 2026 is the inclusion of PHRF-NB boats with a build date older than 1990. These boats are welcome to compete in a navigator race on Saturday.

What started as a Shields-only regatta in 1984 has grown to become a keynote annual event on every sailor’s “must-do” list. Every July we gather an average of 14 one-design classes on four circles of racing in Newport. We’re known for superb race management and little waiting between races. Sailors travel from an average of 14 states and three countries to compete. Mark your calendar for this challenging and spirited regatta on the legendary waters of Narragansett Bay.

The Beverly Yacht Club and its H12 fleet, in cooperation with the H Class Association, are pleased to invite all H Class Members to participate in the 2026 H Class Championship. A Junior Championship is scheduled for Friday, July 24, and the Class Championship races will take place on Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26. Join us for a welcome reception and to award the Junior Championship prizes at the Marion Music Hall on Friday evening. On Saturday after racing, we invite all competitors and H Class members to join us for dinner at the Beverly Yacht Club. The Championship awards ceremony will be following racing on Sunday. We will be coordinating free launch and haul service for H-12s arriving by trailer and free moorings for visiting H12s. Housing will also be available on request. The Notice of Race and Registration will be available on Regatta Network by May with a registration deadline of Friday, July 10.
